Privacy
This page explains what personal data we collect on the Seru waitlist, why, and what you can do about it. Plain English, not lawyer speak.
Who we are
Seru is run by Minh Tran Van Ba. For anything on this page, email privacy@beseru.com.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we store:
- Your first name
- Your email address
- Whether you opted in to early beta testing
- The date you joined
Nothing else. We don't track you around the web.
Why we collect it
To email you when Seru launches, and occasionally before that when there's something worth sharing. That's the whole reason. No ads. No resale.
Legal basis
Your consent, given when you submitted the waitlist form. You can withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights" below).
Who else sees it
We use three processors to run the site:
- Loops. Stores your contact details and sends emails on our behalf.
- Vercel. Hosts this website.
- Sentry. Captures anonymised error reports so we can fix bugs. No personal data.
All three are GDPR-compliant. We never sell or share your details with advertisers or third parties beyond these processors.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after Seru has launched and you've received the launch announcement, whichever comes first. After that your record is deleted from our systems and from Loops.
Your rights
Under GDPR (and equivalent UK/US rules) you can:
- Unsubscribe. Use the unsubscribe page, or the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
- Ask for a copy of the data we hold on you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your record entirely.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK that's the ICO.
For any of these except unsubscribe, email privacy@beseru.com and we'll action it within 30 days.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies itself. Vercel may set one technical cookie to route your requests. Emails we send through Loops may set tracking cookies if you click links in them. That's opt-in by clicking, and you can disable it via Loops' preference centre linked from any email.
Changes
If we update this policy we'll change the date at the top. For material changes (new processors, new data) we'll email everyone on the waitlist.
